Our history

The Wolf-Link Winery is a family estate located in Hausen an der Zaber, Germany. Our roots run deep in a region where winemaking dates back to Roman times, a heritage symbolized by the nearby Jupiter Column. Carrying the Wolf family name, we blend time-honored traditions with modern techniques to craft wines that honor our past while looking to the future. As the next generation of the Wolf family, we’re excited to share our passion by bringing our wines to the African continent, connecting our family’s legacy with new horizons.

Our philosophy

Inspired by the wolf's strength, independence, and harmony with nature, we blend time-honored traditions with 21st-century innovations—letting the wild lead the way. Some of our vines grow untamed and unpruned, capturing the wolf's spirit while embracing modern sustainable practices. We believe that great wine begins in the vineyard, so we focus on natural farming techniques that honor our heritage and utilize contemporary methods. Our goal is to let each bottle reflect the true character of the land and the unique climate of each year, uniting history and modernity in every sip.

Quality

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. Our vines, some over 40 years old, dig deep into the earth, drawing essential minerals even in challenging seasons. These old vines yield fewer grapes, but the fruit they produce is exceptional—rich in concentrated, complex flavors. In the cellar, we preserve and refine these natural qualities without unnecessary intervention, ensuring depth, intensity, and balance in every glass.

Terroir

Our vineyards are nestled between the shell limestone slopes of the Kocher Valley and the Heuchelberg in the Zabergäu region. This unique terroir offers excellent drainage and heat retention, while the special microclimate allows grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavors. The combination of soil and climate imparts a distinctive minerality and character to our wines, authentically reflecting the land they come from.
